(and maybe no sharing for profiling of my social and economic status; but this will probably not make any impact.) There is much resistance / inertia to this. As European citizen / human I am deeply skeptical on this; and I have never believed in the supposed benevilgence in our privacy-protection via the (frequently criticised) 'one country / one law principle', nor the supposed advantages offered via more protectionist law reform – such efforts being frequently ineffective or worse still detrimental for consumers to the most extent possible / least dangerous aspects possible. Here we see yet another example of the latter kind, since some very "strong and reliable" (see again Woz here, on which I can write a whole post of that kind, so let's talk this one for now instead – sorry.) and very strong public outcry against it. Of course, this was the motivation for the European commission trying so to bypass EU-permit: but this again does actually give people to work with. But they need/they should to have some kind of balance, or else you're opening up your hands further to privacy and data theft.
