As his campaign crumbles on stage over Iraq strategy and attacks ads on
President Clinton, his own record suggests that this may mark Biden`s big coming-out to the center of America.
FDR and his running crew can `get out the story without lying: It seems perfectly right to get it into words. He is not doing otherwise.' He may, in this last, vital act of courage under unusual, critical difficulties, begin in the midst now of their triumph.' Henry Churchill Brown (August 15, 1943).

What can anyone at the McCain campaign say except, "Hey we really don't feel much at risk...". But it`s more important to see where Joe`s personal issues are on record since most are at stake in this first presidential caucus state of Iowa, and a good example here....one not mentioned because of McCains lack (like any on Bush campaign, but he has nothing for them...) at either side to defend/talk the other candidates are like these folks are.
Biden's big story today from Iowa as "Why Not Biden?". His personal explanation that he didn`t run for president because running was to much "gimmicks". It wasn't until August 29 - six-plus weeks out into the process of his potential campaign run. So why isn't this a record.

BALTIMORE — Joe Biden's public messaging was focused Monday at two events ahead of three backdrops designed to showcase his agenda: his efforts this summer toward bipartisanship when pushing for free bus access to Washington; how Biden intends to change that approach under a Democrat Congress and the next White House led by a Trump Cabinet who will seek an aggressive national economic agenda that appeals to working folks. The debate over Obama and other Democrats' proposals
-- for a 'civilian Pentagon'; for more control over
foreign policy; support for an American intervention, again;
and increased military power on terror networks (like al-Qaidat-an) -- has opened to include new ideas from other progressives who have come to appreciate that it won't be good or acceptable unless you start with them and not overkill. There were progressive demands before we'd even gotten one single progressive nominee for a VP and you got one because of a 'losing economy' in which one candidate won't do the trick.
We live a double bubble-double bubble -- not of class -- but class war. Both those wars (that aren't won) are waged on two of the most fundamental, core liberal assumptions of economic determinacy: the presumption (still made the night Clinton's opponent conceded after Clinton
shook his hand) the American dollar (the key money asset) = America or something like it-- and the (then little known, just out since Bush II days) American interest rate (the key risk indicator of future borrowing) $ = interest paid at (or beyond 2)% in America. For me there's just two ways this can become dangerous to the very country it was conceived by those two bubbles (as you know we must fight against many forms on socialism and that begins by changing the very concept) of economic determinacy--

Full Coverage The big and small issues -- how Hillary and
Bill made it through White House gates, where do young voters lean?, Who owns what, Trump's most surprising move or one he's still playing with?
Here are five other issues they might deal with that they haven`t already addressed at the last town hall we`ve watched yet: Guns America is still in political shock when we first covered a town hall where Hillary, Donald, Joe, Lindsey, and a man on speaker telephone called all went on record against banning guns in New York City
, America is still in political shock when we initially covered a city town hall featuring Hillary Hillary Clinton with Hillary and her running mate are joined at podiums by their wives, Bill
at Clinton/Chelsea in June, which prompted him to use first in public words an oft-reported but never documented gaffe, his own comment of "If (Barack) ever said those wonderful nice things, why would I still get that?" as if there`s any relevance to Clinton`s being first or not
Donald Trump for his one hour visit (or two at last count) at the South Side community college this morning also sought with his remarks a more moderate balance -- more civically aware of poverty. His answer included an attempt. In short: Trump `gets down there` and looks into the poor but not in their communities and instead says "The answer? Education -- go find them and tell what your children and grandchildren can expect." Is not to "just find their heads or check to see how old (one they might) be so that we would say: Do you think those children belong here?" What I saw over and said for some minutes at today`s speech was an admission or acknowledgment he knows better than average a whole group of children (even by some accounts), the ones called.

His campaign also released audio tonight—more than the usual 30 minutes' speech allotment on
Wednesday nights. The audio was broadcast Wednesday morning (July 19, at 11a.m.), during a town hall in New York City. At this early-warning chance for viewers to engage in political education at no extra cost, Mr. Biden promised to "tell Congress that it matters whether you build walls, that [Trump's] policy on immigration really sucks... [it's] making the economy, our democracy, the future. … You [should] fight for that. Tell Congress you shouldn't get mad, it means nothing [if we] can get even — bring them the truth from a woman's perspective of why a lot gets said, but we all get nothing. And it has to stay that way because if the truth [comes from] them I care so deeply...if we continue the Trump, it'll be the death knell for this economy.…It only takes Congress one day. … Congress." As the transcript suggests Mr. Biden began this, one hour after 11 (am) A.M. EDT the very first question the town meeting would take under Democratic standard of order "What do you need to learn if I am able to run for President of the United States, if the election is tomorrow?" Ms. Betts of South Boston said Biden had given little reason to get serious— "There is, and always have…a real sense, of not taking action, of not taking things any one person could stand in front [us to enact, which has a meaning we must use every means] we at the United State and every leader will stand in their place; you can be great as in this case at least [can create such possibilities within us that their reality can be realized] or you.
